SplitWise Pro is designed to be a private, local-first utility app. We prioritize your privacy by minimizing data collection.

Calculation Data: When you use the app to split bills, calculate tips, or add taxes, this information is stored locally on your device in our History feature. This data remains on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.
App Preferences: Your settings, such as your preferred default currency or display options, are stored locally on your device using Android's internal storage (DataStore).

2. Personal Information

The App does not require you to create an account, provide an email address, or share your name. We do not collect any personally identifiable information (PII).

3. Device Permissions

SplitWise Pro is built to respect your privacy and does not require any special Android permissions (such as access to your Camera, Contacts, Location, or Storage) to function.

4. Third-Party Services

Based on our current implementation:

Analytics & Advertising: We do not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs. We do not track your behavior across other apps or websites.
Cloud Services: We do not use Firebase or any other cloud-based storage or synchronization services. All your data stays on your phone.

5. Data Security

We use standard Android security practices to protect your data stored on the device. Since no data is transmitted to the cloud, the security of your data is primarily dependent on the security of your own mobile device.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is a utility for calculating bills and is safe for all ages. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13.

7. Your Rights

You have full control over your data. You can delete your calculation history at any time through the "History" section within the App. You can also clear all app data or uninstall the App to remove all information stored by SplitWise Pro from your device.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
